Tennesse Gas Pipeline 300 Line Expansion Project

Gray & Pape provided cultural resource management services to AECOM in support of the 127-mile Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company’s 300 Natural Gas Pipeline Project. Situated in northern and northeastern Pennsylvania and the northwestern portion of New Jersey, this project transports natural gas supplies from the Gulf Coast, Appalachian, Rockies, and Marcellus Shale supply areas and gas deliveries to various interconnections with other pipelines in northern New Jersey. Cultural resource identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts were conducted under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission certification process, and in compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines. Gray & Pape worked with AECOM and Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company to develop avoidance and alternative mitigation strategies to manage significant cultural resources associated with the project.
