Bayport Ship Channel

HRA Gray & Pape is working with AECOM of Houston, Texas on the proposed Bayport Ship Channel Improvement project. The project will include deepening of the channel, and a number of alternatives for widening the channel from its current width. Work will also include increasing the radius of the Bayport Flare. The construction footprint of the channel widening on land and off-shore will be determined once the alternatives have been evaluated. Dredged material placement alternatives are still being developed, and future work is expected to include marine survey of approximately 1,000 acres of submerged area.
