Madonna Ledford is the firm’s senior manager in charge of the Technical Services group. She joined Gray & Pape in 1989 as a field technician, occupying various positions, including field director, associate archaeologist, and technical editor, prior to her current role as manager. She has worked in the field of archaeology since 1982 and brings more than 30 years of experience to all aspects of CRM project management, particularly technical services needs. She has authored more than 25 CRM reports, and contributed to the editing and production of more than 1000 CRM investigation reports. In 2015 Madonna was appointed as Safety Manager for the firm.
In her current role, Madonna manages all aspects of the firm’s support services including GIS/electronic mapping, graphics preparation, design, editing, and production. Her responsibilities include managing budgets, and staff development and workload, as well as making go/no-go decisions on the latest technological equipment and advances used by our staff.
In addition to her duties as Technical Services Manager, Madonna also has served as a project manager and Associate-in-Charge on several cultural resources management projects in southeastern Indiana. Her 30 years of CRM project experience, coupled with the technical services knowledge have made her uniquely qualified to successfully carry these complex projects to completion, reconciling budgets with client needs and a high-quality work product.
